Children with intellectual disability is almost four times more likely to experience neglect compared to other children, 40% to 70% of family caregivers have clinically significant symptoms of depression and suffers from caregiver burnout and the turnover rate for professional caregivers in this industry is twice as a high in other comparable occupations.
Based on our own experiences as a company founded by parents of children with special needs and neurodiverse team members, we believe the main reasons behind many of the problems experienced today stem from the lack of communication, ineffective collaboration, and gap between all circles of care.
Pletly´s mission is therefore to bridge the gap between the circles of care and enable the quality of care that all humans deserve, regardless of social economic level or how demanding their needs are. While at the same time improving the quality of life for both family- and professional caregivers.
What started out as an idea grown out of frustration and passion for non-discriminatory rights to proper healthcare at Jeanine and Marius Mathisen´s kitchen table in 2021, is now a company with a global team working with residential care homes, schools, and families to build the care management platform that truly enables quality care in this underserved market.
